We take care of getting your utility data up and running - and keeping it that way. We assess what's already there, install what's needed, validate the data and provide ongoing support.

Map the metering landscape
We map each relevant meter: where it is located, how its data can be retrieved and what is needed to bring that data into nanoGrid. Where needed, we go on-site to complete the assessment.
Design the solution
We translate the metering landscape into a complete solution, defining how the data from each meter will be retrieved and what hardware, connectivity or additional metering is required.
Prepare for installation
We pre-configure the devices and link them to the correct sites and meters, enabling plug-and-play installation on-site.

Install the hardware
Our installation team installs the nanoGrid hardware on the selected meters and, where required, additional meters to close identified gaps. Each meter is connected using the readout method defined during solution design.
Connect & test
We configure and test the connectivity and verify that data is transmitted correctly from each connected meter to nanoGrid.

Validate the data
We check incoming data for completeness and unexpected readings and compare it with available reference data, such as meter readings or historical consumption. Where something doesn't add up, we investigate it.
Map & structure the data
We link each data stream to the correct meter, utility, location and asset, so the data can be understood and used correctly.

See everything in one place
View electricity, gas, water, heat and other utility data across meters, sites and portfolios in one platform.
Spot what needs attention
Use trends, dashboards and alerts to identify unusual consumption, data gaps and changes that require further attention.
Compare performance
Compare consumption across meters, sites and time periods to understand differences and see where further investigation is needed.

Connect to your other systems
Bring your utility data into the systems you already use through API, FTP, CSV and supported integrations with third-party platforms.
Document the installation
After installation, we provide a Post Intervention File (PIF) documenting the installed devices, serial numbers, meter mapping and configuration, giving you a clear record of the monitoring setup.
Keep the monitoring running
We monitor the data flow and investigate issues when they occur. Where needed, we troubleshoot remotely or intervene on-site to keep the monitoring operational.
Support the installed solution
We support and maintain the nanoGrid hardware throughout the service, including repairs and replacements when required.

Logistics sites operate at scale, with complex operations reflected in how utilities are used and metered across large buildings and multiple systems. At the same time, ambitious sustainability targets and growing reporting requirements increase the need for reliable utility data. nanoGrid brings that data together across individual sites and entire portfolios.

Retail operates on tight margins, making control over operating costs increasingly important. With stores and branches spread across many locations, managing utility use and building systems consistently can be challenging. nanoGrid brings utility data together across the portfolio and enables remote control of systems such as HVAC and lighting.

Care centres need to maintain comfortable, stable indoor conditions around the clock, while HVAC and other building systems can account for significant energy use. nanoGrid brings utility and indoor environment data together across facilities, helping teams understand consumption while keeping a close eye on conditions such as temperature, humidity and CO₂.

Hotels and resorts operate around the clock, with utility use spread across guest rooms, kitchens, wellness facilities and common areas. Managing consumption while maintaining guest comfort is a constant balancing act. nanoGrid brings utility, indoor environment and occupancy data together, helping operators understand consumption in relation to how their hospitality assets are actually being used.

Office and residential assets come with high expectations: comfort for occupants, efficient building operations and long-term asset value. With utilities spread across shared systems, common areas and individual spaces or units, understanding how a building is actually performing can be complex. nanoGrid brings utility and indoor environment data together, providing visibility from building level down to individual spaces or units.

Leisure parks and unmanned sites can be challenging to oversee, but for different reasons. Leisure parks combine seasonal demand with utilities and critical conditions spread across attractions, hospitality, animal habitats and other facilities, while unmanned sites have limited day-to-day oversight. nanoGrid provides continuous remote visibility into utility use and environmental conditions such as water temperature, with alerts and remote control where needed.

Every metering landscape is different. We start by understanding yours and defining what's needed to get your utility data flowing.
Yes. Under nanoGrid’s service agreement, all provided hardware comes with a full warranty for the entire duration of the service term, and all maintenance is included in the service fee. This means:
nanoGrid develops and supplies its own critical hardware components. In other words, we are the manufacturer of key devices in our solution. This in-house hardware lineup includes:
By developing our own hardware, we maintain full end-to-end control over data quality and reliability.
Yes. nanoGrid provides clear documentation and hands-on training to ensure every user, from tenants to portfolio managers, can extract full value from the platform without needing technical expertise.
Our user guides are role-specific and built around real workflows. Whether you're accessing dashboards, exporting reports, setting custom alerts, or analyzing trends, you get step-by-step instructions tailored to your responsibilities.
During onboarding, we deliver live training sessions aligned with your go-live timeline. These sessions cover platform navigation, key features, and practical use cases relevant to your operations. For new team members or larger rollouts, we offer optional refresher sessions to bring everyone up to speed.
Energy managers and ESG leads can join advanced analytics workshops that go deeper into optimization strategies, reporting automation, and data-driven decision-making. We also provide optional walkthroughs when major features are released, so you stay ahead of new capabilities.
Ongoing support is available through our helpdesk at support@nanogrid.com, and we conduct regular check-ins and platform evaluations on request to ensure you're maximizing ROI.
From day one to long-term operations, nanoGrid ensures your team has the knowledge and confidence to turn energy data into measurable performance gains.
nanoGrid offers dedicated support tailored to client needs, with a standard support model during business hours and escalation procedures in place for critical issues.
For enterprise clients or large-scale deployments, custom 24/7 support arrangements can be made upon request, especially for sites where real-time monitoring is critical.
Clients can reach support via:
Let us know if 24/7 support is a requirement for your operations, and we can tailor a service level agreement accordingly.
Yes, each nanoGrid client is typically assigned a dedicated account manager (sometimes called a customer success manager). This person’s role is to be your primary point of contact for any non-trivial issues, questions, or new requests.
