Ready to bring AI to life inside a fast-moving energy tech company? nanoGrid (Aalst, Belgium) is looking for a mid-level AI Engineer to supercharge our team with AI-powered solutions. This is a hands-on, in-office role (35 people company) where you’ll embed tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot into our daily workflow and automate the boring stuff so our people can focus on what really matters.
What you’ll do:
- Drive real adoption of AI – Not just deploying tools, but ensuring people actually use them. You’ll build awareness, guide teams through the learning curve, run practical sessions, and help embed AI into everyone’s daily routines.
- Integrate AI into daily work – Configure and roll out AI assistants (Copilot in MS365, Dynamics 365 ERP automations) that remove friction and boost productivity. You focus on what really works and avoid over-engineering.
- Automate workflows with pragmatism – Spot inefficiencies, eliminate repetitive tasks, and build straightforward, reliable automations that make work smoother. If something can be improved, you see it and you fix it with the simplest effective solution.
- Strengthen our internal knowledge base – Organize and enrich how we capture, structure, and retrieve company knowledge using AI-supported systems, so colleagues can easily find what they need and learn from each other.
- Champion an AI-first culture – Help shift mindsets across the company by showing practical value, coaching teams, and guiding them in adopting new ways of working. You influence habits, not just systems.
- Collaborate & deliver – Work hands-on with teams to understand their needs, design solutions they can actually use, and report progress via our Technical Delivery Manager to the CIO.
